As a self-proclaimed coffee addict I was more than happy to see the NY Times article on the immense benefits of caffeine. Many recent studies have shown that coffee strengthens our health. For example, one study found that drinking the equivalence of a Venti Starbucks coffee each day helped prevent diseases such as Type 2 diabetes, prostate cancer, and skin cancer. Caffeine intake has also been linked with fighting off dementia. Drinking a couple regular sized coffees per day does not only keep you awake but can help ward off potential diseases.
