iVillage has come out with a report this week ranking the health of women in all 50 states of America! New York women are ranked 13th in the country for healthy eating. However, these same women tend to have higher cholesterol, which can lead to serious health problems. Luckily, there are some simple changes that can lower your cholesterol. For example, simply walking more during the day can significantly lower one’s cholesterol. Adding more fiber and fish into your diet can also help. Diabetes is also a problem among the women of New York so it is important to look out for both of these health detriments and adjust your diet accordingly.
But good news: Women in New York have the fourth highest life expectancy rate in the country! So make a few changes but keep doing what you’re doing New York!
